A 30 days notice period letter is essential in order to get the release from your employer. A notice period letter is also advisable and acceptable by the immigration and the labor ministry.

Sample of the 30 Days Notice Period Letter
I, ( your name), a citizen of (your country), Passport number (xxxxxxxx) and ARC Number (xxxxxx), or Entry Visa Number CY (xxxxxxx), do hereby give (name of Employer ) 30 days Notice that I am leaving your house.
I am exercising my legal right to cancel the Employment contract according to the contract, Paragraph 5, Clause “D”, which we both signed.
Once the 30 day period is finished, I will be going out of your house. Please make sure that on the day I go, all my salary is paid in full, and my Annual leave is paid up to date, and please grant me Release.

How to give the 30 days Notice Period Letter?
Usually, when you ask for a release, your employer will get angry. If they didn’t want to get angry then they should have understood your human rights, shouldn’t they?
If you go and present the letter to them, they mightn’t accept it and even tear it down.
To avoid such a situation, here is what you should do.
- Put your notice in an envelope and send it to your employer through the Post office via Double Registered Post.
- It will cost you 3.40 Euros.
- The post office will give you a receipt, and you have to keep it safe.
- When your employer gets the package, they have to sign a pink received card. When they sign it, they can’t deny that they didn’t receive the package.
- Keep a copy of the Notice Letter, and also the sent receipt from the Post Office as proof, in subsequent Labor Dispute.
This way, the release cannot be refused. Make a copy of your notice letter and keep it safe. Now, your employer has 30 days to find your replacement and provide you with a release paper.
